After the success of their first model, the B&O Beosound Stage, the Danish brand is pushing boundries with the new B&O Beosound Theatre soundbar. At the heart of this new gem are 12 drivers powered by 12 amplifiers totalling 800 watts… All with support for the Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 format! The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Theatre promises an exceptional immersive audio experience for enjoying the latest movies and TV shows.
The new Bang & Olufsen soundbar combines 12 drivers with a 3-way design. They are powered by 12 800-watt Class D amplifiers. For optimal musicality, the different drivers reproduce a frequency range between 28 and 23,000Hz. Using the principle of beamforming, the Beosound Theatre supports Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 channel tracks for a three-dimensional reproduction. In addition, the soundbar benefits from custom post-processing with B&O’s proprietary True Image algorithm. The volume is automatically increased or decreased according to the number of drivers used.

To create a powerful and immersive cinematic experience, Beosound Theatre comes with 12 speaker drivers, including two custom-made long stroke 6.5″ woofers and 800 watts of amplification power, providing up to 112dB sound pressure level. Speech clarity is managed by the custom-made centre channel, where the tweeter is mounted directly in front of the midrange. The alignment of these drivers ensures a better sound distribution elevating the quality audio experience for everyone in the room, while directivity has been designed to optimize speech quality.
Building on the Beam Width and Beam Direction Control developed for Bang & Olufsen’s flagship Beolab 90 speakers, Beosound Theatre introduces a new three-dimensional sound directivity due to the patent-pending combination of the direct, side- and up-firing speakers. This means that all loudspeaker drivers are working together not only to produce sound, but to control its beam width and direction.
